Information on Clinics
Our Clinics range from Beginner, intermediate and Advanced.
Level 1 Clinic:
Are you just getting into riding and looking to improve your skills? Mason will help you get comfortable and learn the basics needed to navigate our terrain.
Our level one clinic will teach you the basic fundamentals of riding. We teach techniques that will help you to conserve your energy throughout the day. You will learn how to get the sled on edge which will progress to the sidehill. We will teach you the correct foot & body position you need to ride the snowmobile with confidence. Throttle control will be taught as well so people can feel comfortable with the power of the machine. We will adjust our teaching skills to every client giving them the best experience we can offer!
All of our riding clinics will include Avalanche awareness from our Pro 1 certified AIARE riding instructor !
Safety is our main concern. We want to teach our clients how to navigate the backcountry safely. With confidence in themselves and their equipment !
Level 2 Clinic:
You have the basics down now and it's time to start stepping out of your comfort zone. In this class, you will learn how to manage more technical terrain.
In this clinic you will learn how to manage steeper terrain on both sides of your sled. We will teach the Elevator, which is a downhill descent on your side panel. Throttle, Brake Control and the zero turn will be included. These are maneuvers to get you out of a tight situation. Terrain Management and how to tackle certain features is also a big part of this clinic. We will adjust our teaching skills to every client giving them the best experience we can offer !
Level 3 Clinic:
You have reached the point in your riding where you are ready to really push the limits. This is where things get technical and the fun begins! Before you sign up for the level 3 clinic you must be able to sidehill on both sides of your sled and navigate steep and deep terrain. Self rescue is a requirement. You must be able to get yourself unstuck!.
In this clinic you will learn a wide variety of advanced maneuvers to bring your riding to the next level. We are going to get into some of the most difficult tree riding and boonie bashing in Wyoming. We will teach you the Hop-Over, Re-entries both uphill & downhill, inverted whips,Bowties and Elevators. Every maneuver will be detailed and taught to every client. In this clinic we will cover a lot of ground throughout the day exploring some of the best zones around.
Lodging
We have 4 cabin rooms. 3 of them can sleep 3 guests per room, 1 of them can sleep 2 guests . They include a hot shower, small kitchenette, queen bed and a full bed. 1 Room does not include a kitchenette or full bed. We also have extra bunk beds in the lodge that can be booked over the phone.
Our lodge is where we will prepare meals and is also a hangout area for our clients to relax by the fire after a day in the snow !
We will also have an 8 person barrel sauna for people to enjoy !
The Meal Plan will include Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.
All riding clinics will include: Avalanche awareness, Rider skills training, photos/videos, meals, lodging, 8 person Sauna and a rental snowmobile if needed.
Gear needed: Jacket & Bibs, 2 pairs of Gloves, avalanche beacon, boots, backpack with probe and shovel, balaclava, warm layers.
To get to Top of the world resort you will take the Chief Joseph scenic hwy 296 outside of Cody Wy ! The Address is “2823 US-212, Cody, WY 82414”. Turn right at the junction of HWY 212. The parking lot and staging area is only 100 yards up the road towards Red Lodge. From there it’s a 10 mile trail ride to the resort. The trail is groomed twice a week.
